Gujarat corona update date 21-5-2020

Of the 24 new deaths, 6 were from corona and 18 patients were from other diseases, high risk and coronary heart disease


233 cases in Ahmedabad, 34 in Surat, 24 in Vadodara, 13 in Mehsana


11 in Banaskantha, 9 in Mahisagar, 7 in Aravalli, 6 in Gir-Somnath


5 in Gandhinagar, 4 in Kutch, 3-3 cases in Jamnagar, Sabarkantha and Dahod


2-2 cases were reported in Junagadh, 1-1 in Panchmahal, Kheda, Patan


Out of total 166152 tests 153242 were negative while 12910 tests were positive


Out of 12910 positive tests, 52 are on ventilator and 6597 are stable




Corona cases are not declining in Gujarat. In the last 24 hours, 371 new cases have been reported, bringing the total number of positive cases in the state to 12,910. The death toll has risen to 773 with 24 more patients dying. Giving updated details of Corona, Principal Secretary Health Jayanti Ravi said that 269 more patients have been discharged today. At the same time, a total of 5488 patients have recovered and returned home so far in the state. Two more police personnel on duty in the lockdown are positive
Two more police officers on duty during the lockdown have rushed to Corona. A.K. Jitendragiri Narayangiri Goswami (56), a resident of Road Deenbandhu Society, is on duty at Limbayat police station. He was currently on duty in the lockdown. He was meanwhile reported to have symptoms of corona. Which came positive on Wednesday.
